At GRUPO ASEGI we work to offer you the best possible experience through our products and services. In some cases, it is necessary to collect information in order to achieve this. We care about your privacy and we believe we should be transparent about it.
For this reason, and for the purposes of the provisions of REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter, “GDPR”) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, ORGANIC LAW 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD GDD) and LAW 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (hereinafter, “LSSI”), GRUPO ASEGI informs the user that, as controller of the processing, it will incorporate the personal data provided by users into an automated file.
Our commitment begins by explaining the following to you:
- Your data is collected so that the user experience improves, attending to your interests and needs.
- We are transparent regarding the data we obtain about you and the reason why we do so.
- Our intention is to offer you the best possible experience. For this reason, when we are going to use your personal information we will always do so in compliance with the regulations and, where necessary, we will ask for your consent.
- We understand that your data belongs to you. Therefore, if you decide not to authorise us to process it, you can ask us to stop processing it.
- Our priority is to guarantee your security and to process your data in accordance with European regulations.

What personal data do we collect?
The personal data that the user may provide:
- Name and surnames, NIF and address.
- Telephone number and email address.
- Information relating to payments.
- IP address, the date and time at which you accessed our services, the internet browser you use and data about the device’s operating system.
- Any other information or data that you decide to share with us.
If you do not provide us with your data, or you do so erroneously or incompletely, we will not be able to deal with your request, making it entirely impossible to provide you with the information requested or to carry out the contracting of the services.
Why and for what purpose do we process your data?
At GRUPO ASEGI we process the information provided to us by data subjects for the following purposes:
- To manage and contract any of our services.
- To manage the sending of the information requested from us.
- To carry out the maintenance and management of the relationship with the user, as well as the management of the services offered through the website and information tasks.
- In some cases it will be necessary to provide information to the Authorities or to third-party companies for audit reasons, as well as to handle personal data from invoices, contracts and documents in order to respond to claims from clients or from the Public Administrations.
We inform you that the personal data obtained as a result of your registration as a user will form part of the Record of Processing Activities and Operations (RAT), which will be updated periodically in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
What is the legal basis for the processing of your data?
The processing of your data may be based on the following legal bases:

Consent of the data subject for the contracting of services, for the contact forms and requests for information.

Compliance with legal obligations for fraud prevention, communication with public Authorities and third-party claims.
How long do we keep your data?
The processing of the data for the purposes described will be maintained for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected (for example, for as long as the commercial relationship lasts), as well as to comply with the legal obligations arising from the processing of the data.
To which recipients is your data disclosed?
In some cases, only where it is necessary, GRUPO ASEGI will provide users’ data to third parties. However, the data will never be sold to third parties. The external service providers (for example, payment providers or delivery companies) with which GRUPO ASEGI works may use the data to provide the corresponding services; however, they will not use that information for their own purposes or for transfer to third parties.
GRUPO ASEGI endeavours to guarantee the security of personal data when it is sent outside the company and ensures that third-party service providers respect confidentiality and have appropriate measures in place to protect personal data. Those third parties are under an obligation to guarantee that the information is processed in accordance with data privacy regulations.
In some cases, the law may require personal data to be disclosed to public bodies or other parties; only what is strictly necessary to comply with those legal obligations will be disclosed.
The personal data obtained may also be shared with other companies in the group.
Where is your data stored?
As a general rule, the data is stored within the EU. For data sent to third parties that do not belong to the EU, we will make sure that they offer a sufficient level of protection, either because they have Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) or because they have signed up to the “Privacy Shield”.
What rights do you have and how can you exercise them?

By virtue of the provisions of the GDPR you may request:
- Right of access: you can request information about the personal data we hold about you.
- Right of rectification: you can notify any change in your personal data.
- Right of erasure and to be forgotten: you can request the deletion, following prior blocking, of the personal data.
- Right to restriction of processing: this means the restriction of the processing of the personal data.
- Right to object: you can withdraw consent to the processing of the data, objecting to it continuing to be processed.
- Right to portability: in some cases, you can request a copy of the personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format for its transmission to another controller.
- Right not to be subject to individualised decisions: you can request that no decisions be taken based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produce legal effects or significantly affect the data subject.
In some cases, the request may be refused if you ask for the deletion of data necessary for compliance with legal obligations.
Likewise, if you have any complaint about the processing of the data you can lodge a claim with the data protection authority.
Who is responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the data provided?
The user is solely responsible for the truthfulness and correctness of the data included, releasing GRUPO ASEGI from any liability in this regard. Users guarantee and are liable, in any event, for the accuracy, currency and authenticity of the personal data provided, and undertake to keep it duly updated. The user agrees to provide complete and correct information on the registration or subscription form. GRUPO ASEGI reserves the right to terminate the contracted services entered into with users, in the event that the data they have provided is false, incomplete, inaccurate or not up to date.
GRUPO ASEGI is not liable for the truthfulness of information that is not of its own creation and for which another source is indicated, and therefore assumes no liability whatsoever as regards any hypothetical harm that might arise from the use of that information.
GRUPO ASEGI reserves the right to update, modify or delete the information contained on its web pages, and may even limit or not permit access to that information. GRUPO ASEGI is released from liability for any damage or loss that the user may suffer as a consequence of errors, defects or omissions in the information provided by GRUPO ASEGI, provided that it comes from sources external to it.
Likewise, the user certifies that they are over 14 years of age and that they have the legal capacity necessary to give consent as regards the processing of their personal data.
How do we process the personal data of minors?
In principle our services are not specifically aimed at minors. However, in the event that any of them are aimed at children under fourteen years of age, in accordance with article 8 of the GDPR and article 7 of Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December (LOPDGDD), GRUPO ASEGI will require the valid, freely given, unambiguous, specific and informed consent of their legal guardians in order to process the minors’ personal data. In this case, the DNI or another form of identification of the person giving consent will be required.
In the case of those over fourteen years of age, the data may be processed with the user’s consent, except in those cases in which the Law requires the assistance of the holders of parental authority or guardianship.
What security measures do we apply to protect your personal data?
GRUPO ASEGI has adopted the levels of security for the protection of Personal Data that are legally required, and endeavours to install such other additional technical means and measures within its reach to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access to and theft of the Personal Data provided to GRUPO ASEGI.
GRUPO ASEGI is not responsible for any hypothetical damage or loss that may arise from interference, omissions, interruptions, computer viruses, telephone faults or disconnections in the operational functioning of this electronic system, caused by circumstances beyond GRUPO ASEGI’s control; from delays or blockages in the use of this electronic system caused by deficiencies or overloads on telephone lines or overloads in the Data Processing Centre, in the Internet system or in other electronic systems; as well as from damage that may be caused by third parties through unlawful intrusions outside GRUPO ASEGI’s control. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the user must be aware that security measures on the Internet are not impregnable.

How do we use cookies?
The website and the social media of GRUPO ASEGI use cookies in order to optimise and personalise your browsing of them. Cookies are physical information files that are stored on the user’s own terminal; the information collected by means of cookies serves to make it easier for the user to browse the portal and to optimise the browsing experience. The data collected through cookies may be shared with their creators, but under no circumstances will the information obtained through them be associated with personal data or with data that could identify the user.
